FAQ
Questions we get asked before the first call
If yours is not here, ask the assistant in the corner or send a note, and we will add it.
Working with us
- How quickly can you submit candidates?
- For most roles we return a first slate within two to four business days of the intake call. Specialist and cleared roles take longer, and we tell you that during intake rather than after a week of silence.
- Do you charge for the intake or the search itself?
- No. Contract engagements are billed against hours worked and direct hire is billed on placement. There is no retainer or intake fee.
- What happens if a placement is not working out?
- Tell us early. For contract engagements we replace the resource and do not bill for the ramp time twice. Direct hire placements carry a replacement guarantee period that we agree in writing before the search starts.
Public sector
- Which contract vehicle should a Texas agency use?
- For temporary IT staff augmentation, the Texas DIR ITSAC contract is usually the fastest path because the labor rates are already negotiated. Customers solicit through a request for resume or a statement of work and award against the not-to-exceed rates.
- Are you a HUB or diverse supplier?
- Yes. IntegrateUs is a woman-owned and minority-owned business, which can support agency and prime-contractor supplier diversity goals. We can provide current certification documentation on request.
- Can you subcontract under a prime?
- Yes, and we do it regularly. We can work as a subcontractor on larger awards and provide the compliance and reporting documentation the prime needs.
Candidates
- How do I apply for a role?
- Open roles are posted on our jobs board. You can also send a résumé through the contact form and note the kind of work you are looking for; recruiters review every submission even when there is no matching opening that week.
- Do you place contract-to-hire?
- Yes. Contract-to-hire is common on our engagements and the conversion terms are agreed up front with the client so there are no surprises at the conversion date.
- Do you work with candidates who need visa sponsorship?
- It depends on the engagement. Some client contracts restrict work authorization; we tell candidates the constraint before an interview rather than after.
Rates and terms
- How are contract rates set?
- For DIR ITSAC work, rates are capped by the published not-to-exceed labor categories on the contract. For commercial work, rates are quoted per role with the bill rate and what it covers stated in the quote.
- Who handles onboarding, payroll, and compliance?
- We do. Contract staff are our employees or contractors, so payroll, timekeeping, insurance, and I-9 compliance are ours to manage. You approve time and receive one invoice.
- Can contractors work onsite in Austin?
- Yes. Being Austin-based is a large part of why agencies work with us. Onsite, hybrid, and fully remote arrangements are all workable, and we source to the arrangement you need.
